Catherine Besley is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker.  She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology in 1983 and Master’s in Social Work in 1985, both from the University of Kansas.  She has over 35 years experience working with individuals and families in the Kansas City area in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  She sees adolescents (ages 13-17) and adults. Catherine has extensive experience treating problems associated with sexual abuse/trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, and codependency issues.  Areas of special interest/training include adolescents, LGBTQIA+ issues, divorce/infidelity, and grief/bereavement.  She believes in focusing on strength and hope in an environment of trust, cultural sensitivity, and humor.
