Frequently those who come for therapy and other treatment/assessment services involve members of their family or other significant persons in their life.
When adolescents or younger children are in treatment or testing/ assessment we involve parents or guardians as a matter of course. Involving a spouse, parent or other significant person in your treatment can have a positive impact and facilitate needed support and understanding.
We can assist you with determining when and if this would be valuable and appropriate for you in the course of your treatment. Sometimes it is also important to communicate with your doctor, psychiatrist or other professional in order to coordinate care or give required information. In this latter case we will first ask for your permission in a signed release of information.
