My First Visit
The initial visit will generally last an hour and include:
Talking about your main concerns and what you want to achieve in therapy.
Determine whether the services we offer meet your needs.
Discuss how therapy works and begin determining a treatment plan.
Receive information on office policies, procedures, privacy and confidentiality and complete some needed paperwork.
You also may have some questions for the therapist during this initial meeting. Some common questions that are asked include:
How long have you been in practice?
What areas do you specialize in?
How long might my therapy last?
How often should I schedule my appointments?
Can I call or e-mail you between sessions?
What if I have an emergency?
